Through pottery, Camila, of Ila Ceramica, was guided back to creativity and inspiration, which had been blocked after personal experiences that took her deep within herself. The cyclical nature of the wheel and the repetitive motions of throwing quieted her mind and allowed her to seek deep into the process of centering, which worked from the outside in to center her whole being. After a few years of throwing, she began to experiment with coil building and truly found herself there. Through sculpting, she began to explore inner landscapes, reflect on nature, express bodily experiences and emulate corporeal silhouettes.
