This handmade brass tray has a unique finish called nukayaki. This finish comes from firing the metal after applying a mixture of rice bran, salt, and sulfur, which creates attractive mottled patterns. This traditional yet modern tray was made by Takatsuji in collaboration with a Japanese ceramic artist. You can use this tray in different ways, such as holding jewelry, serving as a centerpiece for an altar, or simply as a decoration.
Approximately 8.25" long x 4" wide
When Takatsuji Manufacturing felt the need to reinvent, they asked themselves, "What is possible with casting?" and "How does metal casting fit into modern life?" CASTIN' was the answer.
