The KAKOMI donabe is designed for sharing experiences through cooking and dining together. Simple yet functional as cookwares, the items are perfect for highlighting fresh ingredients of the season. The IH donabe renews the traditional Japanese clay pot with a modern design. Ours comes in two sizes with a with a steam plate, making it suitable for steaming as well as simmering and stewing. It can be used on gas, induction, or halogen cooktops.
This donabe is made of heat-resistant ceramic. Lid, and steam plate are entirely ceramic. induction heater, direct fire, halogen heater, ceramic hob, microwave, and oven safe. Wash with care. Do not use abrasive cleansers or steel wool. Immediately wash and dry well after use, and keep dry when not in use. If the pot becomes burnt, boil water in the pot, add 1 tablespoon of baking soda and simmer in low heat for 2-3 minutes, let it cool down and rub with a sponge.
