My great-grandparents had an abundance of fragrant tomato and basil plants in their yard, and my great grandpa Giuseppe typically had a DeNobili cigar hanging from the corner of his mouth. Scent 05 is not your typical garden-scented candle. It decidedly has no floral element. My great grandpa didn’t allow my great grandma to grow flowers in their garden because he didn’t believe they served a purpose. If it wasn’t functional, they didn’t grow it. Not only is this scent savory and herbaceous in nature, but it tells the story of a less “flowery” life of an immigrant woman. Might as well make something pleasant from a history I cannot change!
